KEXP w/ VITAMIN D
Did you get your tix to the opening yet? There’s still time (click here).
I was blessed this Thursday make a visit to KEXP! I got to hang out with my brother Tall Homey Vita aka Vitamin D and talk about the things I’ve got going on. It was dope, too, because I got to play some new music on air!
Of course, I had to find parking first… It’s not too bad of a drive from Tacoma to Seattle, but it’s really a pain searching for parking after that drive.
As I’m keeping an eye out for a spot, I see my guy Antonio; who recently walked in Avery Tien’s fashion show at Arte Noir. He bolted across 1st to connect with me, and then dipped back across to his friends who were standing in front of Climate Pledge.
Finally, I secure a parking spot and I make my way to the building. Tall Homey lets me in near the Caffee Vita. We maze around the building until we make it to studio b, and he introduces me to his assistant Sue. Once I get settled, I begin airdropping Vita new songs from Krusal, Scholito, Darryl Crews and MZA.
After a funky intro (produced by the coldest producer in the city) we get right into talking about the upcoming exhibit. I’ve known Vita for a long time, and I have to say this was one of the coolest experiences.
I got to watch him execute a flawless playlist; that he spent 5 hours researching for, all while asking me questions and catching any missed marks like he ain’t missed nothing. I wasn’t able to get a picture of us, due to my phone dying. It was even cooler that way, because my phone was dead when I got the full tour of the place, and I was present af.
Thank you, Tall Homey, for being a great mentor and for keeping the lights on for so many of us out here.
You can stream the entire Variety Mix; Thursday, Feb 27, w/ Vitamin D (click link).
